PhD workshop in South Tyrol
In the last two weeks of September two PhD students of our group (Andre Pointner, second from left side and Shravan Kumar Parthasarathy, right side) took part in the PhD Seminar organized by the Chair of Electron Devices (FAU) in the framework of the Ferienakademie in the beautiful area of the Sarntal in South Tyrol. In intensive workshops more than 20 PhD students were able to present their work and receive feedback in the scope of a joint scientific discussion in the fields of semi-conductor devices, photonics and quantum technologies. Not only did the seminar provide a broad overview on the research topic of the pariticipating students, but also enables in-depth discussions on each topic to further drive each students projects. Extensive feedback to the presentation style of each PhD student completed each segment of the seminar.
